Brown Butterflies

The past couple of weeks the front flower garden has had a lot of butterfly and insect visitors. I have shown you a couple of the winged visitors, here are a few more. If you can identify the brown and blue butterfly, I would appreciate it!

About bulbs lifting themselves…..
The action of the roots pushing downward tends to occaisionally lift bulbs right out of the ground. Perhaps this is because the soil layer constantly gets deeper due to an accretion of dust and this is how long-lived bulbs manage to stay near the surface…
